	Alina de Boer has been working in a management position for Corporate Express since July 2007, as Senior Manager of the Accounting & Control department. “It was decisive for me as a working mother to have a challenging job in which I can work four days a week and deal with my time in a flexible way. It is ideal that this is possible here. There are still very few ambitious working mothers, and relatively many men working at the head office. 'Woman in a man’s world’, yes, I actually experience it that way, but in spite of the presence of many men, the corporate culture is definitely not ‘macho’. The first impression I had after I began at Corporate Express was that of a friendly, respectful culture. It is easy to make contact; it feels like a small organization. The people respect one another; they literally hear each other out. Please allow me to make a critical comment on that also: it would be a good thing to aim for an organization that is even more driven by performance, which is now going to happen. It is a challenge to be involved in the implementation of Key Performance Indicators, because I expect this to be significant in a more performance-driven culture.”
